Free RV parking a risk to Soldotna

Letter to the Editor

Since the city of Soldotna allows free camping for RVers, it seems only fair that the city should forgive all taxes for the RV parks that are losing revenue because of the practice. I see many high-priced RVs parked at Hooterville. They certainly should be able to afford to pay camping fees at the legitimate parks.

The city residents should be outraged at this direct insult and cost to taxpayers affected.

By allowing anyone to park free, the city is taking a huge risk as far as liability in the event someone is injured, maimed or killed on that property.
