NOME (AP) A Teller man was arrested early this week after reportedly stabbing two people and threatening two others who tried to help the stabbing victims.
Alaska State Troopers said the stabbing victims were driven the 72 miles from Teller to Nome by ambulance, then flown to Anchorage for treatment of wounds to their arms and hands. The incident was reported to troopers around 3 a.m. Sunday.
Troopers said David Soolook Jr., 40, was arrested on third-degree assault charges for reportedly using a knife to threaten those who were trying to help the stabbing victims.
Troopers are continuing their investigation before determining what charges to file in the stabbing itself.
The stabbing victims have both been released from the hospital.
Soolook was taken to Anvil Mountain Correctional Center in Nome and held without bail.
