Former Alaska resident R.B. Dillard Nash of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at his home. He was 72.
A graveside service and burial were held Saturday, July 10, at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville, Mo.
Mr. Nash was born May 18, 1932, in Bowie, Texas, to Charlie Nash and Mary Jane Goodrum Nash. He worked as a welder on the trans-Alaska pipeline and also was an X-ray technician. He served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Warford; and brother, Walter Nash.
He is survived by his companion of 22 years, Virginia Wiseley; son, Deril Nash of Bentonville, Ark.; daughters, Joe Lee Nash of Anchorage and Loretta Anderson; stepchildren, Royle Wiseley of Pineville, Mo., and Teresa Thomas of Rogers; siblings, Minnie Sneed, Essie Ecton, Margie Parker and Hazel Moffitt, all of Myrtle Creek, Ore., Lona Bradford and Maxine Mendenhal, both of Sterling, Betty Durham of Lebanon, Ore., Threecia Ann Bryant of Grey Court, S.C., and Treecie Lynn Nash of Portland, Ore.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers.
