Eugene E. Bybee

Former Soldotna resident Eugene E. Bybee died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at his home on Twin Lakes Boulevard in Leesburg, Fla. He was 55.

Mr. Bybee was born June 15, 1946, in Owensville, Ind. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.

He retired from his job as a loader at Unocal in 1992 when he moved to Florida.

Mr. Bybee was active in Little League, fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and taking his boat out on the canals.

He is survived by his wife, Billie J. Bybee, of Leesburg; daughters Tina Nates-Njaa and Shawna Bybee, both of Leesburg, and Heiki Bybee of Sarasota, Fla.; son, Frankie Bybee of Sarasota; brothers Donald Bybee of Jacksonville, and Lenard Bybee of Tampa, Fla.; and three grandchildren.
