Scouted trip worth every cookie

Studio 2B Girls No. 618 would like to thank the following for providing a memorable destination trip to Cooper Landing on July 13-16. Thank you, Gabe, our river-rafting guide with Alaska Rivers Company, for being so charming, funny and cute. The scenic float was fun, too.

Thanks to the brown bear for making the really long hike to Russian River Falls worth the trip, we enjoyed watching you fish in the falls. Thanks to the Cooper Landing School for providing us a place to stay each night, the rock wall was really fun! A very special thanks to Mona Painter for all her help in planning our trip and inviting us to her house to celebrate Mary's 13th birthday with the most delicious ice cream and cake.

Thank you to Kemarrae Mlynarik for inviting us to her house on Kenai Lake to go swimming and for helping us complete our service project of painting the Cooper Landing Historical Society's storage shed. Thank you to Channel 2 News for interviewing us for your Assignment Alaska segment July 15, it was so exciting to be on TV!

Thanks to everyone at Alaska Horseman Trail Adventures for the great gold panning experience and the horseback ride. And we can't forget our troop leader Carrie Henson and parent chaperone Mary Hoyt for putting up with us for four days. Our time spent selling 1,200 boxes of cookies in order to make this trip was well worth it.

Our most sincere thanks.

Mariah Henson, Erica Hoyt, Angela Ramponi, Christina Tachick
