Kenai Community Library would like to thank Home Depot for its generous donation of a barbecue grill, which was awarded as the first prize in a recent art show held at the library in July. Artists of all ages were asked to create artwork reflecting "A World Without Books" to support a month-long community read of "Fahrenheit 451," by Ray Bradbury.

Eleven entries were received and proudly displayed in the library during the week of July 23 through 30. The three winners as determined by our judges James Evenson, Deborah Harris and Clarice Kipp. They are as follows: Hara Hansen, first place; Lexi Johnson, second; and Tori Johnson, third.

Thanks to all of our local artists for sharing their love of art with their community, and to Home Depot for their generous support.

Julie Niederhauser

Assistant library director
