Soldotna United Methodist Church holds a "Life Love Loss" support group from noon to 1 p.m. on the first and third Monday of the month at the church at 158 S. Scrivner to speak at CIA

Pastor Thurman Scrivner of Living Savior Ministries, of Justin, Texas, will speak and minister at Cook Inlet Academy, 45875 Kalifornsky Beach Road in Soldotna, at 1 p.m. Aug. 18; and 2 p.m. Aug. 19.

He also will hold a morning service at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center at 197 Park Ave.
