The safety and well-being of all students in the educational system is a top priority of the Kenai Peninsula Borough School Dist-rict.
Planning is necessary to effectively deal with an emergency or other crisis situation.
A structured plan acknowledges this, allows for control over a crisis situation and minimizes the impact of the emergency.
Copies of the district's plan are available for public review at each school's office, at the district central office and on the district Web site at www.kpbsd.k12.ak.us.
At the beginning of the school year, children will bring home emergency information forms for parents to complete.
Please fill out and return the form promptly, updating the health information and providing addresses and phone numbers where parents or guardians, as well as alternate contacts, can be reached in the event of an illness or injury at school.
Please notify schools if information changes during the year.
