ANCHORAGE A 20-year-old man being sought on federal drug charges was gunned down early Tuesday in a drive-by shooting in South Anchorage.
The spray of bullets peppered the home, killing Marcus Watkins, who had been out on bail facing state charges. A federal warrant had been issued for his arrest about a week ago for illegal drug sales, police said.
When the gunfire stop-ped, two men burst out of the front door of the bullet-riddled house carrying Watkins, who was bleeding from a gunshot wound to his torso, police and witnesses said.
Relatives rushed Watkins to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
