Irene Fay Bilyeu
Kenai resident Irene Fay Bilyeu died Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2006, at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna following a short illness. She was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14 Fox Funeral Home, 2800 Commercial Way, Rock Springs, Wyo., where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday. Burial will be in the Rock Springs Municipal Cemetery.
Mrs. Bilyeu was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Kansas, the daughter of Joseph Marion and Oda Viola Bland Morford. She married Roy Earl Bilyeu on Nov. 19, 1944 in Grand Junction, Colo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 1997.
She was a former resident of Red Desert, Wyo., and moved to Rock Springs in 1995. She moved to Alaska in 1997. She resided at Heritage Place for the last four years.
Her interests included her rabbits, gardening, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bilyeu, sons, Roy Jr., Randy and Thomas; sister, Minerva; and brothers, Arthur and Glen Morford.
Survivors include daughters, Roena Fay “Randi” Menapace and husband, Robert, of Kenai, and Barbara Jean Hall of Rock Springs; sons, Daniel Leroy Bilyeu and wife, Sandra, and Gail Lynn Bilyeu, both of Kenai; sister, Betty Brouse of Gladeparks, Colo.; brother, Jim Morford of Montrose, Colo.; grandchildren, Russ, Sam, Wendy, Teresa, Jim, Savannah and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Austyn, Deavon and Hazen; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai and Fox Funeral Home in Rock Springs.
