Tosha Melvin and Sean Whitmor
Tosha Melvin and Sean Whitmore of Kenai were married in an afternoon ceremony Saturday, May 5, 2007, at the Soldotna Senior Citizens Center. Commissioner Scott Swett officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mickey and Debbie Landenglos of Kenai. She is a 2001 graduate of Nikiski High School and is employed at the Kenai Municipal Airport. Tosha wore an off-the-shoulder white beaded gown with ribbon ties up the back and carried a bouquet of pink lilies, pink roses and baby's breath.
The groom is the son of Geoffry and Kelly Clark of Soldotna. He is a 2005 graduate of Soldotna High School and is employed at Spenard Builders Supply as a millwright.
The maid of honor was Chelesy McMinn, and Brenda Yurcina served as her bridesmaid. Both attendants wore pink satin off-the-shoulder gowns with beaded arm bands with pink lilies and roses. They carried bouquets using the same flowers. Tieran Evans and Alexis Melvin were the flower girls, and Zeke Miller was the ring bearer.
Sean's best man was Jimmy Miller, and Russ Yurcina was the groomsman. Brandy Goracke served as the usher.
The reception was held at the Soldotna Senior Citizen's Center, where the couple danced to a collection of favorite CDs instrumented by Justin Whitmore, as well as "Forever and Ever," the same song the bride's parents danced to at their wedding 20 years ago.
Guests were served slices of the three-tiered, heart-shaped cake decorated in white and royal blue icing. Handmade chocolates, made by Trina Webre, also were served.
