The Next Level: Carreon to play at Southwestern Oregon

Posted: Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Carlos Carreon, a 2002 graduate of Kenai Central, will play soccer at Southwestern Oregon College in Coos Bay, Ore.

This summer, Carreon has been a volunteer coach for a Boys and Girls Club soccer team. He also has been spending time this summer completing a conditioning program sent to him by Southwestern. Carreon gives credit to coaches David Landry and Pete Ehrhardt for pushing him to the next level. Carreon's goal is to play for a professional soccer team some day.

The Next Level highlights Kenai Peninsula Athletes who have gone on to participate in athletics after high school. If you know of such an athlete, contact the Peninsula Clarion sports staff by phone at 283-7551, by fax at 283-3299 or by e-mail at clarion@alaska.net.
