School supply lists

The following are school supply lists available as of the Clarion’s deadline.

Additional lists often can be found posted on school building doors, at area stores or online on the school’s Web site.

Parents are reminded that individual teachers may ask for additional supplies.

Check with your child’s school.

Aurora Borealis


These items are for individual use. Put your child’s name on each item with permanent marker.

Children’s Fiskar scissors

Nonmarking gym shoes


3 fat glue sticks

8-10 nontoxic markers

Old shirt or smock for art

These items are for group use; do not put your child’s name on them.

A box of tissues

A box of zip-lock type of quart-size bags

A roll of paper towels

Parents are asked not to bring crayons, pencils, colored pencils, pencil box, folders, paper, notebooks, etc.


1 box of markers

1 box of 24 crayons

12 Ticonderoga pencils

3 glue sticks

1 pair of Fiskars scissors

1 notebook

1 box of Kleenex


Supply box — one 8-by-12 or two 8-by-5 boxes.

10 pencils, may be plain or decorative

4 large or 8 small glue sticks

1 large pink eraser

1 box tissues

Old shirt for painting

2 pairs of Fiskars child scissors

Crayons and markers, one package of each, at least 8, no more than 16

3 pocket folders

Parents are asked not to bring rulers, binders, notebooks or paper.


2 packs of No. 2 pencils (no mechanical pencils)

2 Peechie type folders

1 box of crayons

1 pair of scissors

1 pair of nonmarking tennis shoes

3 boxes of Kleenex

Fourth — Mr. Severson’s

Plastic supply box: 1or 2 5-by-8 inch

24 No. 2 pencils (mechanical pencils are encouraged)

3 large noncolored glue sticks

1 small bottle Elmer’s glue

2 large pink erasers

3 boxes facial tissue (for community usage)

1 used shirt or smock for art class

1 pair of quality scissors (Fiskars brand preferred)

1 package crayons, 8-16 quantity

1 package colored pencils, 8-16 quantity

1 package markers, 8-16 quantity

1 12-inch ruler

5 folders with pockets and prongs

1 pair of white-soled tennis shoes used for gym time

1 package wide-ruled paper

1 package 5-by-7-inch lined cards

1 one-inch binder used for storing 8 1/2-by-11-inch wide-ruled paper with subject dividers (no padded or covered notebooks)

1 1-inch binder used for 5-by-7 paper (no padded or covered notebooks)

1 roll of contact paper

4 red ink pens


2 packages of loose-leaf paper

3 spiral notebooks


2 red pens


Large glue stick

Basic sets of crayons, markers and colored pencils

12-inch ruler, inch and centimeter sides

6 Peechie-type folders with pockets for different subjects

2 boxes of Kleenex

A student planner and calendar

Materials to help students organize and manage paper, handouts, assignments, etc.

Lined loose-leaf notebook paper

Pencils — Maintain a sufficient supply so students will have several sharpened pencils on hand at any time (mechanical pencils are OK)

Pens — Several of varying colors (black, red).


Scissors — Pointed Fiskars recommended (label)

1 1-gallon Ziploc bag (or small box) to hold pencils, pens, erasers and other sundries.

Glue stick

Basic set of crayons and colored markers

12-inch ruler, flexible and transparent are preferred

2 boxes of Kleenex

2 rolls of paper towels

Nonmarking gym shoes


Floppy disks, writable CDs, or memory stick for saving and transferring computer files.

Uniform sweater or sweatshirt to wear and leave in class. Students may not wear jackets during class.

Labeled lunch box.
