Longtime Kenai resident Jim B. Olson died Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at Central Peninsula Hospital in Soldotna. He was 39.
His ashes will be scattered on the Kenai beach and in Oahu, Hawaii.
Mr. Olson was born May 28, 1968 to Doug and Bonnie Olson in Anchorage. He attended and graduated from Kenai Central High School. He lived in Nikiski for a period of time before making Kenai his home. He was the former owner of Jim's Towing and Repair in Kenai. He belonged to the Jehovah Witness Church in Kenai.
His family wrote, "Jim grew up in Nikiski and attended Kenai Central High School. He had a deep love for his children, who will miss him terribly." His daughter, Michaela, said, "I will always have wonderful memories of my dad taking me four-wheeling, teaching me to ride and going camping."
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Olson; and grandparents, Jerry and Jean Mount.
He is survived by his grandmother, Jean Olson of Kenai; parents, Doug and Bonnie Olson of Nikiski; children, Morgan, Michaela and Mason Olson, all of Palmer; brothers, Jerry, Jeff, Joe and Jason, all of Kenai, and Kiven Olson of Anaconda, Mont.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many others.
Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel.
