If Central Peninsula Hospital partners with any outside company, it will be with the Plano, TX.,-based for-profit LHP Hospital Group.
The hospital’s governing board Thursday night selected LHP out of a list of five remaining potential partners. Providence Health and Services, a nonprofit, was one of the four organizations eliminated this week.
The board is also considering amending its current lease agreement with the Kenai Peninsula Borough, which would not involve any outside partnerships.
The board plans to make its recommendation to the Kenai Peninsula Borougha Assembly on Sept. 7.
