Swim team tryouts set

Soldotna High school is starting its swimming season. Tryouts are held weekdays from 3 to 5 p.m. Participants do not need to be experienced swimmers or divers to join. For more information, call 262-7419.

CPHC board meeting slated

Central Peninsula Health Centers Inc. will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Salamatof Centre at 150 N. Willow St. in Kenai. It is open to the public. For more information, call 335-2022 or e-mail mmaguire@cphc-medical.org.

Toddler hour set

Toddler hour for children ages 5 and under is available from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays at the Kenai Recreation Center. There is no fee. Parents are required to stay with their children.

Bridge project to be discussed

The Sterling Community Coalition will host a town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at Raven Contractors at Mile 84.5 of the Sterling Highway. Gary Davis, head of the roads department for the Kenai Peninsula Borough, will be the featured speaker. The topic will be the Funny River bridge project. There will be a question-and-answer session. Montessori presentation slated

There will be a free presentation on Montessori education at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Challenger Learning Center of Alaska. Tim Seldin, president of the International Montessori Foundation and author, will be the featured speaker. His topic will be the importance of quality early childhood education.
