Brueggemeier, Benson announce engagement

Ann Brueggemeier and Kevin Benson of Spokane, Wash., plan to be married Saturday, Aug. 20, 2005, at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Spokane, Wash.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Sue and Paul Brueggemeier of Spokane. She is a graduate of Whitworth College in Spo-kane with a degree in music and education and works as the choir director for Ferris High School in Spokane.

The groom-to-be is the son of Verda and Greg Benson of Kenai. He graduated from Whitworth College with degrees in communications and theater. He is employed as a youth minister for St. Mark's Lutheran Church.

Saltzgiver, Weisz marry in Kenai

Jenae Saltzgiver and Justin Weisz of Kenai were married in an evening ceremony Friday, July 22, 2005, at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center.

The bride is the daughter of Pam and Kelly Saltzgiver of Kenai. She wore a white, strapless, floor-length dress and carried a bouquet of white roses and forget-me-nots.

The groom is the son of Dave and Tracy Weisz of Kenai and Lisa and Maurice Schultz of Tok.

The maid of honor was Mary Hall of Rexburg, Idaho. Kayla Saltzgiver-Mears of Juneau and Breezy Saltzgiver of Salt Lake City were the bridesmaids. They wore periwinkle blue, spaghetti strap, floor-length dresses and carried bouquets of white carnations with blue tips. The flower girls were Avery and Tori Mears of Salt Lake City, nieces of the bride.

The best man was DJ Weisz of Kenai, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were the groom's brother, Dan Weisz, and Alex Apostolas, both of Kenai. The ushers were Nate Saltzgiver and Zach Weisz, both of Kenai. They wore black, pin-striped tuxedos with periwinkle blue cummerbunds. The ring bearer was Blake Sanford of Tok, cousin of the groom.

Out-of-town guests were Todd and Kallie Mears of Salt Lake City from the bride's family; and the groom's grandparents, Larry and Janine Weisz of Tok, aunts and uncle, Vera Rogers of Washington and Rachel and Jason Sanford of Tok, and cousin, Jordan Sanford.

The reception was held at the senior center in Kenai. The cake was made by the bride's friend Jeanette Perkins.

The couple plans to make their home in Wasilla.
