Homer immunization clinics set

The Homer Public Health Clinic will hold back-to-school immunization clinics from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and from 1 to 3:30 p.m. today, Friday and Aug. 22 and 23. Parents and guardians are reminded to bring a copy of the child's immunization records to the clinic.

CPHC board meeting slated

Central Peninsula Health Centers Inc. will meet at 6 p.m. today at the Salamatof Centre at 150 N. Willow St. in Kenai. It is open to the public.

Blood Bank seeks donors

The Blood Bank of Alaska is in immediate need of blood donations, especially A positive, A negative and O negative. Donations can be made at the Blood Bank of Alaska Kenai Peninsula Center in the Blazy Mall in Soldotna from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Call 260-5672 to schedule an appointment.

Flag football registration set

The North Peninsula Recreation Service Area is taking registrations for flag football from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Wednesday at the Nikiski pool. Children in grades four through eight are eligible to participate. Coaches also are needed. For more information, call Rachel at 776-8800.

CES seeks volunteers

Central Emergency Service is seeking volunteers for its Firefighter One Academy beginning Sept. 1. Recruits also are needed from the Kasilof and Funny River areas. Participants must be 18 to apply. LeeShore radiothon fund-raiser slated

The 21st annual KRSM-LeeShore Radiothon fund-raiser will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 12 on KSRM Radio 92 AM. Cash and in-kind donations pledged during the radiothon support the agency's services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault and its community and school prevention programs.To make a pledge during the radiothon, call 283-5811 or mail a pledge to the LeeShore Center, 325 S.
