Lodge plans garage, bake sale

The Peninsula Moose Lodge Family Center in Kenai next to the "C" Plaza will hold a garage and bake sale fund-raiser from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, call James Kufhta at 283-3740.

'Old Timers' to meet

The "Old Timer's" annual reunion, a time for lunch, music and visiting, will be held Thursday at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Salad and coffee will be available at 11:30 a.m. and lunch is served at noon. Preregistration is encouraged. The cost is $4. For more information, call 776-8721.

Food bank seeking volunteers

Kenai Peninsula Food Bank is seeking community members to volunteer in the soup kitchen, sorting vegetables in the warehouse, entering computer data or cleaning the bathrooms. Volunteers also are needed for the annual soup supper and auction planned for Aug. 26 at Kenai Landing. For more information, call Catherine DeLacee or Linda Swarner at 262-3111.

Citizen scientists sought
