We would like to thank all of the wonderful people who helped during my daughter's accident in Turnagain Pass last Thursday.
The first to help were visitors from Wisconsin, one of whom was an EMT and stayed until the Troopers arrived. Shortly after, a doctor came and offered help and encouragement (I am so sorry I don't remember her name). Trooper Lewis was on scene quickly and went above and beyond duty in transporting myself and my other children to Providence Hospital while my daughter was flown up.
The Cooper Landing Emergency Services crew was thorough and professional, but also very kind, especially Grace. A decision was made to transport my daughter to Anchorage by air, and I cannot thank the flight crew enough for the care that was given aboard the LifeMed helicopter. You comforted my daughter and kept her calm amidst a very scary ordeal. She was very appreciative of your humor in flight.
Finally, the staff at Providence was great, especially resident Dr. Prowse. It was a bad situation but had a good outcome. Though her back was fractured, it was minor and she will be just fine because of all the great care she was given.
Thank you all!
