Hilary Cassidy and Christian Demello-Rice of Soldotna, were married in an afternoon ceremony July 10, 2010, at the Kenai Senior Center. Tim Cassidy, uncle of the bride, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Sue Cassidy of Sterling. She is a 2003 graduate of Skyview High School. Hilary is a CNA at Heritage Place. She wore a white taffeta strapless gown with crystal beading at the waist and triple bustle at the back of the skirt. She also wore a chapel length train and pink shoes. She carried a bouquet of bright pink and orange gerber daises, roses and green buttons. Sister of the bride, Kelli Cassidy, served as maid of honor and wore a strapless champagne knee-length dress with a pink flower on the waist.
In attendance to the bride were Whitney Sterling, Melissa Glaves, Ashleigh Adams, Alice Lousberg, Christelle Rice and Christina Demello-Rice, all wore strapless champagne knee-length dresses with a pink flower on the waist. Phoebe Glaves was the flower girl and wore a champagne dress with white ribbon and tulle.
The groom is the son of Jody & Stacy Demello-Rice of Sacramento, and Rebecca Rice, of Seattle. He is a 2003 graduate of Skyview High School and employed by CH2MHILL. Christian wore a black tux with a white vest. Best man Jason "Bernard" Brown, wore black tux pants, with a white shirt and orange vest and tie. Grooms men Jonathon Demello-Rice, Daniel Demello-Rice, Christopher Demello-Rice, Roland Zumwalt, Kyle Cassidy and Jody Demello-Rice, all wore black tux pants, with a white shirt and orange vest and tie. Brayden Demello, serving as ring bearer, wore black pants, white shirt and pink vest and tie.
The couple held the reception at the center.
The wedding cake was chocolate and vanilla with raspberry between layers, covered in white frosting with pink frosting roses and pink and orange ribbons as accents.
The couple went to Maui for their honeymoon.
