KENAI (AP) -- A Kenai man has been convicted of raping a 13-year-old girl.
David W. Anderson, 28, was found guilty of first-degree sexual assault. He assaulted the girl the day after he and his girlfriend, Dianna D. Eddens, 20, of Kenai, went camping with her in Cooper Landing, according to court records.
Anderson and Eddens were acquaintances of the girl, who had just celebrated her 13th birthday, authorities said. The three were on the way home and pulled onto a secluded road near Kenai Keys Road in Sterling on the afternoon of June 13.
Prosecutors said he raped the girl on the hood of his car while Eddens held her wrists. The girl was examined by sexual assault nurses at Central Peninsula General Hospital in Soldotna and found to have injuries consistent with a sexual assault.
Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 30.
Eddens has pleaded no contest to second-degree sexual assault. She is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 24.
