ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An employee of an asphalt paving company was killed when the four-wheeler he was riding hit a power line, Alaska State Troopers said Wednesday.

Brett Milos, 19, of Kenai, an employee of Quality Asphalt Paving, was riding the four-wheeler Tuesday at the Whites Crossing rock quarry near Willow when the accident occurred, trooper spokesman Greg Wilkinson said.

Milos was riding the four-wheeler on top of one of two massive sand mounds last night when he struck a Matanuska Electric Association power line that runs above the mound.

Wilkinson said Milos received extensive burns. The body was sent to the state medical examiner's office and then was released to the family.
