ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A man died early Wednesday morning after an argument between a group of homeless people turned violent, Anchorage police said.
The man was among the group, which was drinking together in Anchorage's Fairview area when the argument turned into a fight about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday. Responding officers found the man severely beaten, police said.
The man was taken to Alaska Regional Hospital, where he died of head injuries at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police were not releasing the man's name because they were having trouble finding relatives to notify.
No one had been arrested in the man's death Wednesday evening and police are still investigating.
