The William Henry Gallery in Homer presents the fifth annual "We Bead" exhibit of beadwork art Friday through Aug. 30. An opening reception will be held at the gallery from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.

The Kenai Visitors and Cultural Center presents "2001:A Fish Odyssey" through Sept. 3. The show features original artwork from more than 100 artists. The Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Information Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are many scenic hiking trails, including the Kenai River trail, which begins near the center.
