Federal programs informational meeting set

The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District will hold a federal programs informational meeting for private school principals at 2 p.m. today at the Soldotna Sports Center.

The topic will be how private schools might participate in various federal programs operated by the district. For more information, call 714-8868.

'Old Timers' to gather

The Old Timers' annual reunion will begin at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Kenai Senior Citizens Center. Salad and coffee will be available at 11:30 a.m. and a turkey dinner will be served at noon. The cost is $4 per person.

Preregistration is suggested. All seniors are encouraged to attend. For more information, call 283-4156.

DAV to meet

Disabled American Veterans will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the American Legion Bingo Hall. All veterans are encouraged to attend.

Benefit dinner planned

A benefit dinner for Sarah Plagge will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Kenai Merit Inn. Proceeds will help defray the cost of her chemo and radiation therapy. The cost of admission is $15 per person or $35 per family.
