Time for a change in leadership

Posted: Thursday, August 17, 2006

The recent death of a friend has reminded me of an issue our governor has failed to address. The Exxon Valdez Settlement.

Almost 20 years after the spill, we can now chalk up the passing of this gentleman to the long list of Alaskans who suffered greatly due to the oil spill yet didn’t live to receive compensation.

Murkowski and our Legislators, rather than put their foot down and demand the settlement have instead given the oil companies license to rape this state even more than in the past.

Alaska needs leadership representative of the people. Leadership that will work to clean up the backdoor politics. Strong and ethical leadership the people can believe in. Leadership dedicated too making the oil companies responsible to Alaskans. Leadership that will not give away our natural resources.

It is very clear that we need a change.
