The Nakenu Summer Program would like to extend a big chiqinik (thank you) to all the people who helped make the program a success.

First of all, we would like to thank the Kenaitze Indian Tribal Council for their continued support of the Nakenu Summer Program. Chiqinik to John Cook, Barb Ralston, Donna Anderson, Cindy Thomas, Kimb Remsen, Janine Carlough, Becky Jackson and Deanna Beauchamp for the craft items, books and sports equipment. Through a generous donation from the SeaLife Center, we were able to take all 33 children on a visit to Seward.

Chiqinik to the Salamatof Tribal Council for their donation, which provided each child with a summer program T-shirt. Chiqinik to the Kenai River Nursery; they were able to provide beautiful flowers for the children to plant. We would also like to thank the USDA Food Grant Program; through their sponsorship, the program provided lunches and snacks for all the children.

Through the wonderful generosity of donations and sponsorships, the children attending the Nakenu Summer Program were able to have a fun-filled summer.
