ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A Seldovia man died early Thursday when his car struck a moose on the Sterling Highway, according to Alaska State Troopers.
The moose came through the windshield, killing Joseph Carlough Jr., 42.
Carlough hit the adult cow moose at about 12:20 a.m. as he was trying to pass another vehicle in Anchor Point, troopers said.
He was dead at the scene.
