Mental Health Trust plans land auction

The Alaska Mental Health Trust Land Office (TLO) will offer 80 parcels for sale through sealed bid auction. The parcels are typically existing subdivision lots in the Fairbanks, Nenana, Mat-Su, Kachemak Bay, Ketchikan, Thorne Bay and Petersburg areas. Auction parcels will be awarded to the bidder submitting the highest bid. Bids will be accepted until 5 p.m. Oct. 27. Bids received after that date and time will not be considered. Bids will be opened beginning at 9 a.m. Nov. 2.

Bidding is not restricted to Alaska residents.

The TLO's 2000 Land Sale Booklet can be viewed on the Web at Maps of the parcels are available for viewing in Anchorage at the Department of Natural Resources Public Information Center, 550 W. 7th Ave. Suite 1260.

Revenues generated from the sale of Alaska Mental Health Trust lands are managed by the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, which has a primary mission of improving the lives and circumstances of Trust beneficiaries throughout the state.
