Knowles will help seniors with reasonable drug costs

Posted: Wednesday, August 18, 2004

Tony Knowles has proven time and again that he has the experience and leadership to do right by Alaskans. He has worked hard for children, veterans and senior citizens and will continue to promote policies that will enhance our quality of life.

Today, a large portion of our population is facing ever-increasing challenges regarding health care. Senior citizens are particularly vulnerable. During his tenure, Tony helped lower drug costs for seniors when he let the Pioneer's Home co-op buy their drugs in bulk. The crisis facing seniors' prescription medicine needs must continue to be addressed.

I trust Tony to continue addressing these needs, but with the federal government this time around. Seniors should not have to live one step away from disaster because of prohibitive health care costs. Let's elect a senator who will work for the benefit of all Alaskans.
