Michelle Davis and Trent Burnett were married Saturday, July 14, 2001, in an outdoor ceremony at Lake Tahoe overlooking Emerald Bay.
The bride is the daughter of Larry and Rebecca Davis and John and Diane Bush, all of Soldotna.
The bride's sister Heather was the maid of honor, and her sister Brittany served as junior bridesmaid.
The groom is the son of Pam Burnett of Soldotna and Dave Burnett of Kenai.
The groom's brother Travis served as best man.
Kirsten Peterson of Soldotna sang to the couple during the ceremony.
Following the wedding, a reception was held aboard the MS Dixie as it cruised around Lake Tahoe.
A second reception is planned for today, Aug. 19, at Soldotna Creek Park.
Michele graduated from Kenai Central High School in 1995 and will receive a degree in elementary education from University of Alaska after student teaching at North Star Elementary in Nikiski this fall.
Trent also is a 1995 graduate of KCHS. He attended University of Alaska Fairbanks' fire science program and now works as a firefighter and EMT with the Nikiski Fire Department. He also is on the dive rescue team and teaches at the PRISM fire training center in Kenai.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Las Vegas and plan to take a Caribbean cruise in April. They live in Nikiski.
