Poet's Corner: Mother Nature

Posted: Thursday, August 19, 2010

Mother Nature Dearest, why are we having so much rain?

As we look out our windows, it is coming down again.

If ever we've offended you, please know we love you so,

And be assured we are so grateful, that this is rain, not snow.

But Mom (can I call you Mom?) please bring us some sunshine,

We've had enough of this darn rain, to last us for a lifetime.

Thanks so much for listening, we're awaiting sunny skies.

Please send it soon, and you won't have to listen to our cries.
