The Seward girls and Heritage Christian boys cross country teams won titles on Saturday at the Seward Invitational.
In the girls race, Seward junior Rubye Foldager finished the muddy five-kilometer course in 21 minutes, 35 seconds, to defeat Skyview freshman Ivy O’Guinn. Seward junior Denali Foldager was third, Cook Inlet Academy sophomore Holly Kopp was fourth and Seward senior Sarah Glaser was fifth.
O’Guinn led the Skyview girls to a second-place team finish.
In the boys race, Heritage junior Mike Stuart won in 18:43, while fellow Heritage junior Justin Brady was the runner-up. Seward sophomore Travis Price was third, Bethel’s Kyle Chavez was fourth and Palmer’s Kevin Smith was fifth.
Smith led Palmer to runner-up in the team standings.
