Show entries available at Pratt Museum

The Pratt Museum's annual juried art show will close Tuesday. Artists are asked to pick up their artwork at the admissions desk from 6 to 7 p.m. that day or between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday.

After Wednesday, work will be in museum storage and may be picked up by making an appointment with Gale, Neil or Carol at 235-8635.

Soldotna chamber hosts tax cap initiative forum

The Soldotna Chamber of Commerce will feature a forum on the 10 mill tax cap initiative at its weekly luncheon Tuesday.

The luncheon is held at the Riverside House in Soldotna at noon.

Totem Tracers to hold meeting

The next meeting of the Totem Tracers genealogy society will be Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Kenai Community Library.

Anyone interested in genealogy and family history may attend.

Volunteers needed for Industry Appreciation Day

The Kenai Chamber of Commerce needs volunteers for its watermelon booth at Industry Appreciation Day on Saturday. Three shifts are available starting at 10 a.m.

Homer Community School to hold dance lessons

Homer Community School will hold swing dance lessons with instructors Ryan Herring and Kristi Gaertson at the Homer High School Green room. Basic to advanced East Coast Swing and the Lindy Hop will be featured. Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting this week through Aug. 31 from 7 to 9 p.m. Cost is $25 per person.
