ANCHORAGE (AP) -- A young member of a pioneer banking family died last week in a car crash in California.
Nikki Cuddy, a college senior, was killed instantly Thursday after being hit head-on in Fresno by a suspected drunken driver who crossed the center line. Cuddy's sister Allison is in serious condition with head injuries, KTUU TV in Anchorage reported.
The driver has been arrested and charged in the case.
At the time of the crash, the sisters were heading back to school in Tacoma, Wash.
The sisters are the daughters of Kathy and David Cuddy, former president of First National Bank and a U.S. Senate candidate.
