All students will meet in the gym at 10:15 a.m. today for the Kalifornsky Beach Elementary round up to introduce the new ranch hands and go over the rules of the range.

North Star Elementary invites parents and students to an open house, from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Sept. 12.

There also will be a preschool planning meeting Sept. 11 at 3:30 p.m. North Star is looking for volunteers who would be willing to collaborate with teachers on themes/lessons and then teach the preschool. The preschool normally meets twice a month and has a class size of approximately 12 children.

Sears Elementary

The school has been under construction all summer, moving the office to the front of the building and adding a climbing wall in the gymnasium. The changes have been wonderful and something everyone has been very excited about.

There will be a parent breakfast in the Sears library today from 8:45 to 10 a.m. and Tuesday from 8:45 to 11 a.m. for kindergarten parents.

There will be a "Back To School Barbecue" on the playground Sept. 7. This will be a time to meet school families and children as well as the staff. Cost will be $2 per person.

Registration forms for the Sears PTA are available in the office.
