ANCHORAGE (AP) A Nikiski man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on methamphetamine and weapons charges, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Anchorage.

The office said Shawn Seaman is charged with attempting to manufacture methamphetamine and possessing a handgun in relation to selling methamphetamine. The indictment also seeks to confiscate a pickup truck on grounds that it was bought with drug money and was used to conduct drug trafficking.

According to the court documents, a search of Seaman's truck turned up 15 grams of methamphetamine and a 45-caliber semiautomatic pistol. The indictment also charges that evidence of attempts to manufacture the drug was found at Seaman's Nikiski residence.
