Native fellowship meets tonight

The North Wind Native Fellowship meets at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Friday of each month at Peninsula Grace Brethren Church, Mile 19.5 Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Every fourth gathering includes a Native potluck.

Family and friends are invited to the interdenominational Native outreach. A children's ministry is provided for children in fourth grade and under. For more information, call Van or Vide Van Velzor at 260-3293.

Winter warm-up under way

Operation Winter Warm-up is under way at the Kenai Christian Church at the corner of the Kenai Spur Highway and McKinley Street.

Winter clothing from infant-sized to adult will be distributed free at the church from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Women's Bible study offered

The women's ministry of Kenai Christian Church is offering a women's Bible study group beginning Sept. 4.

Sessions will be Thursdays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Child care will be available during the Thursday morning and evening sessions, but children must be preregistered with the Gospel Garden no later than Sunday.

Friendship closet open

The Aurora Heights Assembly of God Church's "Friendship Closet" is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Wednesday to meet people's clothing needs.

The clothing closet is located at the church on the corner of McGahan and Marie avenues, near Mile 27 of the Kenai Spur Highway in Nikiski.
