Council should look before they judge

Easy on that outhouse door. Tactics used in the Alaska Judicial Council’s recent attacks on one of Kenai’s most trusted local coaches reek of personal bias and untruths. So prepare for the groundswell of local support and opposition to your accusations. Coach David Landry has been trusted with the sons and daughters of this community and has been above reproach in his behavior, coaching the girls’ team six years!

Your attack on 14 rule 45 dismissals reeks, as all District Court judges work directly under jurisdiction of at least one Superior Court judge, so let’s publicly flog the guy for lack of supervision.

You might look at the number of cases his court averaged the past two years and compare it to the total number of cases all the other judges up for retention did and find we have a judicial workhorse.

Having coached Little League football locally for two years, I have great respect for these pillars of our community and must say to the rest of Dave’s fans, stand up!
