Weinke rallies Panthers

BALTIMORE -- Chris Weinke brought Carolina back from a 17-point deficit by directing two long second-half scoring drives and the Panthers beat the Baltimore Ravens 20-17 Thursday night.

John Kasay kicked a 23-yard field goal with 11 seconds left to break a tie and cap an 85-yard march. Weinke, battling Jeff Lewis for the starting job, completed a 34-yard pass to Chad Dukes to set up the score.

Jaguars 28, Chiefs 23

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Alvis Whitted caught a 58-yard touchdown with 5:58 left to help Jacksonville (2-1) complete a comeback from a 20-7 deficit.

Jacksonville's third-string defense held on two plays from its 1-yard line with 1:30 left, as Chiefs quarterback Bubby Brister's late drive fell short.

Eagles 20, Titans 14

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Philly's Donovan McNabb ran just three times and led all rushers with 94 yards and threw for a touchdown.

Philadelphia (1-1) trailed 7-0 when McNabb got the Eagles going with 17 straight points in the second quarter. He scrambled 68 yards to set up David Akers' 31-yard field goal. Then completed seven straight passes, including six on an 88-yard drive he capped with a 2-yard toss to James Thrash just before halftime.
