Board of Fish deems Soldotna too dangerous

Posted: Tuesday, August 24, 2004

Soldotna is the most dangerous city in Alaska. The Board of Fish says so. They voted to have their winter meeting in Anchorage instead of Soldotna for security reasons.

The Kenai River Sportfishing Association asked the Board of Fish to have the meeting in Anchorage for the same reason. I bet you could not buy Bob Penney's house for 10 cents on the dollar.

Also, the Kenai River Classic will have to be renamed the Ship Creek Classic, since it will be moved to Ship Creek in Anchorage. After all, it is too dangerous for the bigwigs to come here.

Anyway, they have to go through Anchorage to get here, so it would be more convenient and cheaper to have it in Anchorage. The Mat-Su legislators won't have to travel all the way to Soldotna either.

My problem is now I'm afraid to shop in Soldotna. You just never know who is carrying a concealed weapon. I'll have to drive all the way to Anchorage. The only problem is I have to drive through Soldotna to get there.

Does anyone know where I can get an armored car?
