Phone card donations sought

The Alaska District of the Postal Service has extended its campaign called "Let Freedom Ring" that allows customers to purchase a $10 USPS Global International phone card and donate it to Alaska military personnel serving overseas through the end of September. Cards may be purchased and donated at the post office in Soldotna, Kasilof, Homer, Kenai and Seward.

CPGH to hold board meeting

Craft, bake sale fund-raiser planned

The Funny River Emergency Services Auxiliary will hold a bake and craft sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the new fire station at Mile 16.5 of Funny River Road. Donations can be dropped off from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 26. Proceeds will benefit the Funny River Volunteer Fire Department. WRCC fund-raiser set

The Women's Resource and Crisis Center will hold its 20th annual radiothon fund-raiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 13 on KSRM radio 92 AM. Cash and in-kind donations pledged during the radiothon will support the agency's services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, as well as its community and school prevention programs.
