Donald Ray Poimbouef

Longtime Kenai resident Donald Ray Poimbouef died Monday, August 21, 2006, from an extended illness at Providence Wesley Care Center in Seward. He was 58.

Mr. Poimbouef was born April 13, 1948, to Theodore and Joyce Poimbouef in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a truck driver for many years.

“He enjoyed flying Ultra Light Aircraft, playing banjo and chess,” his family said.

He is survived by his sister, Judith Brown of Cooper Center; nephews, Jason Woods of Soldotna and Mark Kozak of Cooper Center; and niece, Gabril Ann Brown of Cooper Center.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be sent in memory of Donald to Hospice of the Central Peninsula, P.O. Box 2584 Soldotna, AK 99669.

Arrangements were made by Peninsula Memorial Chapel in Kenai.
