Peninsula worth the stay

Posted: Friday, August 25, 2006

I would like to extend my appreciation to all of my friends, co-workers, associates and residents of the Kenai Peninsula Borough for a wonderful and memorable farewell.

In July, I moved to Idaho after living in the Alaska for 25 years. The Kenai Peninsula Borough was a wonderful place to live, work and raise a family.

Great job opportunities were available, our children received a strong education through the local school district, and the peninsula offered a clean and healthy environment.

Having worked at the local government level for the borough, I had the opportunity to work with a lot of hard-working public servants. Talented, educated and dedicated employees make the borough a well-run business.

Best wishes to all and we hope to be back someday!
