Russell, Hagedorn wed at Soldotna home

Ginni Russell and Joel Hagedorn were married Saturday, June 23, 2001, in an outside afternoon ceremony at the Soldotna residence of James and Kim Senn. The Rev. Michael Staton officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Greg Russell of Kotzebue and Bill and Patti Ireland of Soldotna. She wore a gown made by friend Cindy Schlung of Soldotna and carried a bouquet of lilacs and freesia. She was given away by her brother, Chris Russell.

Tabitha Hillyer was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Rachel Myers and Corrina Thomas, and Corrie Hagedorn was the flower girl. All of them wore lavender dresses.

The groom is the son of Harold and Shannon Hagedorn of Soldotna.

Lee Taylor was the best man. Cole Hagedorn and Preston Ingram were the groomsmen, and Abe Hagedorn and Jacob Hagedorn were the ushers.

Lee Taylor performed a solo.

A reception was held at the home following the ceremony. Those assisting included Edna Hagedorn with the guest book, and Gayleen Inabnit, MacKenzie Senn and Kendra Dukowitz with the reception.

Out-of-town guests included Donna Ramey and Harry, April and Kevin Archer, all of Washington, Clifford and Lyla Green of Montana and Bill and LaVerne Kroehler of Japan.

Ginni is a 2000 graduate of Cook Inlet Academy and attends Kenai Peninsula College in Soldotna.

Joel attended Nikiski High School and is employed at Taco Bell in Soldotna.

The couple honeymooned at Alyeska Prince Hotel and lives in Soldotna.

Weddings must be submitted within six months to be printed.
