The Cabin Restaurant located at Timber Wolf Lodge celebrated their first year anniversary with Mr. Dave Carey, Soldotna Mayor, and Mr. Tom Boedecker, City Manager of Soldotna, along with a host of locals enjoying the hospitality of Mike & Michelle Beals.
Mr. Beals commented that the Timber Wolf Lodge was a dream seven years ago when he and his family moved from Austin, Texas to make Soldotna their new home. Mr. Beals said it's been a long, hard road building Timber Wolf Lodge and the Cabin Restaurant, but with local community support and the hard work of his family it's all been worth it.
The Cabin Restaurant located at Timber Wolf Lodge in Soldotna was also a dream of the Beals Family. The Cabin Restaurant's dining room was built in 1935 overlooking the Kenai River. Guests of the Cabin Restaurant can sit outside and enjoy a beverage while overlooking the Kenai River before or after they dine. The Beals family built a large stone fireplace in the dining room to compliment soft music and candle light that guests will enjoy when dining.
The Cabin Restaurant will reopen September 4th with operating hours of Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Reservations are always a good idea. Mr. Beals said that the Cabin Restaurant has customers that dine for two or three hours at a time and it is the restaurant's policy to not make make any person feel herded.
Mr. Beals says that he hopes anyone looking for a special and relaxing fine dining experience will join the staff at the Cabin Restaurant located at Timber Wolf Lodge for a dinner that will be remembered for months to come.
When we asked Mr. Beals what he thought makes a restaurant special, he commented that, "Folks that are dining out only want a few things: Relaxing atmosphere, good service, great food and a fair price. If you give customers more than they expect, they'll be customers forever. Customers of the Cabin Restaurant will not go away unhappy, that is our guarantee."
