Former Soldotna resident Reba D. Mahurin died of natural causes Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, at her home on Oronogo, Mo. She was 95.
Per her request, no services are planned.
Mrs. Mahurin was born in Sallisaw, Okla., on Aug. 5, 1913. She graduated from Carterville High School in 1931. She and her husband moved to Alaska in 1952 and built, owned and operated the River Terrace Motel until 1973. In 1975, moved to Webb City, Mo. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints.
Mrs. Mahurin was preceded in death by her husband, Woody; parents, Edgar and Larry Bolls; eight siblings; and son, Willard.
She is survived by her son, Marshall Mahurin of Kenai; daughters, Lane Morgan and her husband, Bruce, of Joplin, Mo., LeeAnn Langan and her husband, Erv, of Oronogo, and Lynne Mahurin of Oronogo; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Roberta Sageser, of Aztec, N.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation be made to Joplin Workshops.
Arrangements were made with Simpson Funeral Home in Webb City, Mo.
