ANCHORAGE (AP) -- An Alaska trucking company has added a new terminal in Houston, Texas.

Carlile Transportation Systems, based in Anchorage, is now providing regular twice-weekly runs from Houston to Alaska. An expedited service will get cargo from Houston to Alaska in seven days, the company says.

Carlile already has terminals in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Prudhoe Bay, Kenai and Seward. Outside Alaska, the company serves Edmonton, Canada, and Seattle as well as Houston.

The company has about 450 workers and more than 150 trucks.
