Man robs Anchorage credit union

ANCHORAGE (AP) The same robber may have held up a branch of the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union for the second time this month, the FBI said Wednesday.

The Juneau Street branch of the credit union was robbed Aug. 1 and again Tuesday, about 10 minutes before 5 p.m., said special agent Eric Gonzalez.

''We believe it's the same person that robbed it,'' Gonzalez said.

The robber demanded money from the teller, then ran out with an undisclosed amount of cash, Gonzalez said. The teller didn't see a weapon.

The robber was described as a slender, short-haired black man between 40 and 50 years old, about 5-foot-5 inches tall. He was wearing dark jeans, a dark baseball cap and a dark blue sweatshirt with white logo.
